Private Practice Consultation
Creating a psychotherapy practice involves more than learning how to offer therapy; it requires learning how to run a business in a way that works for you. It also means making thoughtful decisions about how you want to work, whom you want to serve, and how to build a practice that is both professionally fulfilling and financially sustainable.
Transitioning away from insurance panels
Communicating changes with existing patients
Establishing fees and practice policies
Developing a clinical niche
Structuring a caseload
Navigating the practical and relational challenges that arise as a practice evolves
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Consultation
Clinical consultation for therapists interested in developing or deepening their work from a psychodynamic or psychoanalytic perspective. Consultation provides a space to think carefully about clinical material beyond questions of diagnosis, symptom management, or technique alone.
Our work may include...
Case Formulation
Relational Patterns
Defenses
Transference & Countertransference
Therapeutic Process
The Therapist's Experience
Who I Work With
You do not need to be formally trained in psychoanalysis to seek consultation. This work may be useful for clinicians who are curious about psychodynamic thinking, incorporating it into an existing approach, or looking for a space to think more deeply about challenging or complex clinical work. I am likely to be the best fit for clinicians who are newer to psychodynamic work or who are interested in developing their capacity to think more dynamically and analytically about their patients and the therapeutic process.
Fees are negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Clinical Supervision
I am passionate about helping CSWs build confidence in their clinical skills!
I provide clinical supervision for Kentucky social workers working toward independent clinical licensure. Supervision is intended to support both the requirements of the licensure process and the clinician's broader professional development.

My approach to supervision emphasizes:
Thoughtful Case Conceptualization
Development of Clinical Judgment
Ethical Practice
Risk Assessment
Documentation
Professional Identity
Increased awareness of the relational dynamics that emerge in psychotherapy.
*Clinical supervision is available to eligible social workers pursuing licensure in Kentucky. Consultation services do not constitute clinical supervision or psychotherapy.
